Hello, newly-formed forum. I've been following WSW for a bit now, so I've been excited to play Demo 7. I ran into a slight problem with the game which isn't exactly a bug, but something that I though people should be aware of, especially if anyone else has been having this issue.
My computer, as with many gaming PCs, has both integrated graphics that come with the CPU, and a dedicated graphics card. Typically, it will automatically use the dedicated graphics card with games, but this was not the case with WSW. Such a problem can usually be fixed by going into the dedicated graphics card's settings (in my case the NVIDIA Control Panel), and telling it which graphics processor to use for a given exe file. The fact that WSW doesn't have its own exe file (besides the launcher), means I had to get a bit more creative to get it working.
I noticed that the game is coded in Java (a choice of language I appreciate), so it comes with the Java Runtime Environment. Thus, I was able to fix the issue by telling my graphics card to run whenever the game's instance of the java.exe file was used. This can be found in the game's files at We Shall Wake -> jre -> bin -> java.exe. If you have an NVIDIA card, go to the NVIDIA Control Panel, go to the program settings tab, then add that java.exe, select the preferred processor to be your dedicated graphics card, and press apply.
I hope this was of some help to developers and players alike. The demo's been a blast thus far! Thanks for releasing it, and I hope further development goes well.
